Beach Wedding: Things to consider in celebrating a Beach Wedding

A beach wedding is one of the dreams of every couple. The beach is a perfect venue for a couple. The good thing about having a beach wedding is you can have your honeymoon right away. What makes a beach wedding extra special is that you can actually enjoy the views, sunset, white sands and the relaxing sound of water. One of the popular beaches in the Philippines that commonly used as a wedding venue is Boracay. There are many best spots in Boracay that you can surely want to have your celebration. There are many best hotels and restaurant in Boracay that your relatives and friends will also enjoy. For your family, relatives and friends, they can enjoy the beach by touring around and do some water and land activities. But having a beach wedding is more complicated than other destination wedding and church weddings because there are many things to be considered and many things to do.

These are the things to consider in celebrating a Beach Wedding:

  • Though being wedded by the church is one of the Catholic sacraments, they are also allowed to have a destination wedding, but the blessing will come to a pastor or a judge/mayor.
  • Expenses. Since you’re having your wedding in Boracay, of course, your relatives, friends or all persons in your entourage are required to attend. It’s something like bringing your whole clan in a vacation so you need a big budget for this big event. There are many agencies offering cheap Boracay packages that you can deal. If you plan to have a package with just your entourage and your partner, at least your other friends and relatives have a chance to come on their own with affordable Boracay deals.
  • Weather. Wish to have a sunny day on your wedding day. We can predict when the rain will fall, especially if you plan your wedding a month before, so always have a back-up plan just in case the rain falls on the day of your wedding. You can ask the wedding organizer about this so they can deal with the venue.
  • Public Wedding. If you are planning a public beach wedding, expect the spectators. Some other people on the beach will stop and watch for your exchanges of vows, but don’t worry too much because I believe they will watch silently and don’t bother to mess up. Just be prepared to have a photo bummer (hahaha).
  • Sunset. Sunset wedding is the most romantic in all time. At this wedding, timing is a must!  You can watch the weather forecast so you will know the exact time when the sun will set. Also prepare a nice lighting when the dim light and night falls.
